Gracie Barra H.B. would love to thank it’s parents for being so supportive.  We thank you for consistently showing up and bringing our little champs to class. 

We have so much fun seeing both on the mats during our parents and kids class.  Its great to see family training in the “gentle art”. The smiling faces are priceless.  Thanks again continue the awesome job.

 First we  have to thank Proff. Jerry for setting up the seminar with  Braulio Estima and thank Brauilio for taking time out of his busy schedule to show us some of his game.  Thanks Proff Braulio.

Yesterday Braulio Estimas seminar was awesome!!!  It was worth it’s “weight in gold”.  He showed submissions from the guard and how to break open the guard.  The little details he pointed out were so minor but made the biggest difference. We hasd so many students from Gracie Barra and students from others schools.  We had a visitor from Las Vegas to come down for this special event.

 I wish I could describe the joy many of the students had.  Many were smiling the whole time, appreciating the techniques from this great champion. If you couldnt make it, I highly recommend it next time.

Proff Braulio Estima , this years 2009 ADCC champ will begin his MMA career in the near future.   It looks as if an agreement has been made with Shine Fights.  Here is the article from Sherdog.  Can’t wait to see Braulio in the MMA scene.  We are sure he will have a great career in MMA and we hope he will still be able to compete in BJJ.  Congrats Proff. Estima.

Just a reminder to all students, that tomorrow 31st is last day to reserve a spot for Braulio Seminar at the low pricer.  GB students $50 and non GB students $100.  After Jan 31st prices will go up to GB students $75 and non-members $150.

This is an awesome seminar that you cannot miss.  Braulio was this years ADCC champ in his division and absolute.  This will surely improve your game.  I know all who come will enjoin this special event.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our simulated tournament. We will begin at 9 a.m. instead of 10.  We hope you guys can make it.

We aplogize, but we have changed the time for our simulated tournament this weekend. (Saturday, January 23rd 2010)

We are going to begin at 9 a.m.  Please sign no later than Thursday 21st, 2010.  This will give Proff Jerry enough time to work on the brackets.  We hope to see you all here, either competing or watching.  This will be great to prep those who wish to participate in a future tournament.  Those who are not looking to compete but would like to try and see how it  works are also more than welcome to participate.

We would just like to let all of our students know they are doing an awesome job.  It’s great to see everyone learning and progressing as martial artists.  We hope all of you continue to train hard and to continue to be consistant in your training. 

We hope all of you continue to show each other respect and remember that the person standing to your right/left are all your training partners.  We are all here to learn and without them, you would have no one to train with.  It’s not about winning, but about learning.  Use the hour of training to try things and see what works for you and what doesn’t.  This will help all of you, whether you would like to compete or not.
