When I started training Jiu-Jitsu at fourteen years old, I got so involved that I set my mind to dedicate my life to this sport; to become a professional fighter and a professor. At that time I couldn't have imagine that Jiu-Jitsu would become one of the fastest growing sports in the world.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was developed strategically for people that are not necessarily physically strong and uses many different techniques to stand up to the strongest of opponents. Because of this, Jiu-Jitsu is a training of the body as well as the mind and a great way to build self awareness and confidence.

To make the sport even more popular, Master Carlos Gracie (the father of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) challenged and defeated many Masters of other Martial Arts at any level -- weight and height. His accomplishments proved that with technique and strategy alone, you can defeat your opponent. This was the beginning of Mixed Martial Arts.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has proven to be a crucial martial art for any MMA fighter. Now, we want to show you that it can become a lifestyle.

Gracie Bara Huntington Beach is a dream that have come true. To be able to share the knowledge that Master Carlos Gracie Jr passed on to me, I would like to share this Brazilian jiu-jitsu lifestyle to our students.
